The trailer script for Capes is basic in content but on its way! Check back for a further update towards the end of January 2016.
The brainstorming has begun, our "WALK A MILE" project is going to be our main focus for the next year. We are re-imagining Einstein Productions. We are still going to focus on individuals with mental health issues for our staff, but we are taking a larger look at the world of film production and will be working on our own production company.
No more mentors and associates. We are now producers, writers, directors, actors, marketing professionals and interns!
Now, we realize it will be some time before we give Dreamworks or Pixar a run for their money, but we also know in this age of digital production and consumer equipment becoming more mainstream and higher quality, our time has come.
Facebook started in a dorm room; Apple started in a garage; Microsoft started in a basement; Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were just a couple of friends with a good script...so what is keeping us from following our dreams?
None of the individuals above had money or backing, they just had drive.
Well, let me tell you, there isn't a member of this group that doesn't have drive. We also have a huge amount of talent and creativity. Our group members have experience in script writing, video, sound and photography. We have directors, producers, animation artists....so there you go. Our team is set.
Now you know our big secret. Our goals are high (why not reach for the stars - right?) our pocket books are empty, but our drive is strong.
With out giving too much of the details on what we will produce, a hint is in the title of this page. So now it's your turn.
What does "Walk a Mile" mean to you? What could we possibly be producing? Remember, we are creatives so obvious solutions are not necessarily correct!
EP attended the Wisconsin Business Owners Lunch and Learn last week with our friend, Kim Sobczak. She is just starting out in the owner/business world. She is admired for her drive and ingenuity. She will be successful. EP has agreed to create her first website for her. We generally use WIX or Weebly as a content tool, mainly because it is easiest to pass along to the website owner, empowering them to take charge of their own destiny.
At some point we will ask Kim, the owner of Cute Glutes workout leggings to be one of our many stories. But for now we are just very excited to assist her startup.
Our take away from this meeting is that we need to attend more meetings. It was a great opportunity to network and find new connections. We will soon be announcing our new location - use "hello Brookfield" as a teaser!
Until that time - think about the "Walk a Mile" project - what could that possibly mean? Remember, at EP we enjoy thinking outside the box!
One of the many goals of Einstein Productions is to assist our members with their personal dreams. While we may not be directly responsible, we are there to support and cheer on each team member's accomplishments.
We have had members go further than they ever imagined at the inception of Einstein. It is fun and rewarding to hear about our team succeeding at personal accomplishments (shout out here to Chadd who recently was hired at a major company, passed his drivers test and followed up by getting his first car!)
We also cheer on personal advocacy - Matt and Andy moving out of their parents homes and working towards even more independence; Dan working at the Zoo - spreading his art work well beyond the pages of this website. Tony - an accomplished publisher of Drannik & Lizzep and his one-on-one tutoring of Adam.
As the days, months, years pass since we started this group back in 2011 it has become the one rock that I can count on and look at with pride.
This has not been an easy road and I want to thank all of you and especially our team for standing with me on this quest. Ellen, Gail, Renee, Erin, Jim, Matt, Nick, Tony, Dan, Chadd and Carla.
Very shortly we will move into an even bigger step - I will blog as I am able and let you know when the time is right to unveil our latest project.
